Jobs - Overview

This training guide explains the different functionalities within the Jobs section of JMS One. Jobs are a piece of work or shift that needs to be filled. An Admin or a user with the permission will be able to put the jobs onto the system for their Permanent, Bank, or Agency staff to accept. This will fill any gaps within the workforce to keep the jobs at the optimum amount of staff. When a member of staff accepts the shifts via the JMS One App or Web, they will have to work them for the job to be completed. There are also functionalities for the admin to assign a job to a particular member of staff and if the staff accepts the job, they are required to work it.

A Client is a customer of JMS One. Each Client has a number of units attached to them and jobs are posted from the units to the staff who will be assigned to the units. Normally, it is the Client who posts the jobs to the units, however, there is a functionality where the units can request the Client to post out jobs as per their preference and criteria.

Jobs that have already been worked are known as Historic Jobs. These can be entered into the system to keep a record of them mainly for payment and audit purposes. Also, there is functionality to repost a job to any users available. A member of staff can cancel a job they have previously accepted. This could be a posted or assigned job. There is functionality to automatically repost jobs that are cancelled by users. Jobs will have different statuses during their life cycle.

Please find a list below that has a more detailed description of the Job functionalities that are available on JMS One.
